山不在高,有仙则名;水不在深,有龙则灵。衢州烂柯山就是这样一座可遇仙、可观龙的宝地。它地处衢州市市区东南面,坐落于乌溪江东畔;是衢州著名的丹霞景点——天生石梁的所在地,更是“王质遇仙,观弈烂柯”传说的发生地。因此烂柯山也与昆仑、蓬莱、桃源并列为中国仙境淹留型范式之一,更成为围棋圣地和江南名胜。黛峰翠嶂,景极幽邃,千百年来文人墨客青睐有加。

当围棋遇上烂柯,造就了衢州源远流长的围棋文化和浓厚氛围。衢州市多次主办与协办国家级和省级围棋赛事。衢州围棋文化独领风骚,并与传统的地域文化一脉相承,相融相长,从而具备了强大而坚实的文旅基因。

衢州很有意思,它是国家级历史文化名城,更是东南阙里、南孔圣地。衢,四达也。人们也常说:行走于此,用双目寻找佳者,谓之衢也。确如是也,行在此地,满目佳景。它是浙闽皖赣四省边际中心城市,义甬舟协同开放发展带三带交汇点,是浙江省向临省辐射的桥头堡。

Renowned is a mountain not for its height but for the immortal who lives in it, ensouled is a water not for its depth but for the dragon that inhabits it.Lanke Mountain in Quzhou is such a treasure land where you can meet immortals and see dragons. It is located in the southeast of Quzhou City, on the east bank of Wuxi River; it is the location of the famous Danxia scenic spot in Quzhou, the natural stone beam, and also the place where the legend of "Wang Zhi meeting immortals and watching the Go game until the handle of his ax rotted". Therefore, Lanke Mountain is also listed as one of the modes of wonderland stays in China along with Kunlun, Penglai and Taoyuan, and has become a holy land of Go and a scenic spot in the Jiangnan Region. Because of its verdant peaks and deep scenery, it has been favored by scholars and writers for thousands of years.

When Go encounters Lan Ke, Quzhou's long-standing Weiqi culture and strong atmosphere were created. Quzhou City has hosted and co-organized national and provincial Go tournaments for many times. The Go culture in Quzhou is unique, and it is in the same line with the traditional regional culture. The two are integrated and enhance each other, so that Quzhou has a strong and solid gene of culture and tourism.

Quzhou is very interesting. It is a national historical and cultural city, and it is also the place where Confucius lived in the southeast and the holy land of Confucius in the south. Qu means connections in all directions. People often say: when we walk in a place and look for the best with our eyes, it is called Qu. That is true, when we walk here, all we see is beautiful scenery. It is a marginal central city in the four provinces of Zhejiang, Fujian, Anhui and Jiangxi, the intersection of the Yiwu-Ningbo-Zhoushan collaborative opening-up and development belt, and the bridgehead for Zhejiang Province to radiate to neighboring provinces.

衢州,浙江省辖地级市。位于长江三角洲地区 ,浙江省西部,钱塘江上游,金(华)衢(州)盆地西端,衢州南接福建南平,西连江西上饶、景德镇,北邻安徽黄山,东与省内金华、丽水、杭州三市相交。

Quzhou is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province. It is located in the Yangtze River Delta region, the western part of Zhejiang Province, the upper reaches of the Qiantang River, the western end of the Jinhua-Quzhou Basin. It is adjacent to Nanping, Fujian in the south, Shangrao and Jingdezhen in Jiangxi in the west, Huangshan in Anhui in the north, and Jinhua, Lishui and Hangzhou in the province in the east.

衢州旅游资源极其丰富。域内现有旅游资源多为自然景观型、历史人文型等一日游式传统旅游景点景区。烂柯山是最靠近衢州城区的文化名山,是全域旅游大格局的重要节点,也是衢州打造世界围棋文化交流园的重要坐标。

Quzhou is extremely rich in tourism resources. The existing tourism resources in the region are mostly natural landscapes, historical and cultural resources and other traditional tourist attractions and scenic spots for one-day tours. Lanke Mountain is a famous cultural mountain closest to the urban area of Quzhou. It is an important node in the overall tourism layout and an important coordinate for Quzhou to build a world Go culture park.

世界围棋文化园地处衢州市市区东南面,坐落于乌溪江东畔,东邻衢州南连接线,用地面积6.5平方公里。未来园区建成后主要包括烂柯山景区、围棋公园、集仙道境、星光大道、天元会场、忘忧仙镇、坐隐之野七大核心区。棋星阁则位于烂柯山风景名胜区的最高峰、制高点,是一山之阁。

The World Go Culture Park is located in the southeast of the urban area of Quzhou City, on the east bank of the Wuxi River and adjacent to the south connecting line of Quzhou, with a land area of 6.5 square kilometers. In the future, after the park is completed, it will mainly include seven core areas: Lanke Mountain Scenic Area, Go Park, Fairy Realm, Star Avenue, Tianyuan Venue, Care-free Fairy Town, and Seclusion Wilderness. Qixing Pavilion is located on the highest peak and commanding height of Lanke Mountain Scenic Spot, and it is the pavilion of a mountain.

▌Background of the Competition
 
“纵横十九道,黑白落玉盘”。
围棋发源于中华文明的母体,最早发源于公元2世纪,东汉三国时期,围棋作为中华民族优秀传统文化中的经典内容,承载着中华民族的文化自信与博弈制胜的精神内核。黑白二子,象征着日月阴阳昼夜,黑子深邃,为长夜幽冷莫测,白子耀眼,若恒星亘古不变。

1)Go culture

"Nineteen vertical and horizontal lines with black and white pieces falling on a jade plate".

Go originated from the parent body of the Chinese civilization. It originated from the Eastern Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period in the 2ndcentury AD. As a classic content in the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation, Go carries the cultural self-confidence of the Chinese nation and the spiritual core of winning through games. The black and white chess pieces symbolize the sun and the moon, yin and yang, day and night, the black pieces look deep, symbolizing the cold and unpredictable long night, and the white pieces look dazzling, like stars that last forever.

“围棋圣地·烂柯仙境”。

棋局即宇宙格局,天元既是棋盘的中心点也是宇宙的中心。山中一局棋,世上已百年,“烂柯仙境”源自东晋时期的“元宇宙”仙地,也因“王质遇仙”而盛名。“烂柯山”位于四省通衙、南孔圣地的国家级历史文化名城——衢州,烂柯被视作“围棋”的代称,也被誉为围棋圣地、围棋仙地。

2)Lanke in Quzhou

"Holy land of Go, Lanke wonderland".

The chessboard is the pattern of the universe, and Tianyuan is both the center point of the chessboard and the center of the universe.After a game of chess in the mountain, over a  hundred years have passed in the mortal world. "Lanke Wonderland" originated from the "metaverse" fairyland in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and is famous for the story of "Wang Zhi meeting the fairy". "Lanke Mountain" is located in Quzhou, a national historical and cultural city that connects four provinces and is known as the Holy Land of Confucius in the South. Lanke is the synonym of "Go", and is also known as the holy land and the fairyland of Go.

“世界围棋看中国·中国围棋看衢州”。

世界围棋文化园是推动衢州围棋文化走向世界的一方圣地,是传播衢州“两子”(孔子和棋子)文化品牌、践行衢州“世界围棋圣地”建设大战略的重要举措。未来将承载着组织赛事论坛、传播围棋文化、度假研学、行政接待等功能。

3)World Go Culture Park

“Go of the World is in China and Go in China is in Quzhou”.
 The World Go Cultural Park is an important measure to promote Quzhou's Go culture to the world, spread Quzhou's cultural brand of "Confucius and Chess Pieces", and practice the grand strategy of developing Quzhou into a "holy land of Go in the world". In the future, after the park is completed, it will mainly include seven core areas: Lanke Mountain Scenic Area, Go Park, Fairy Realm, Star Avenue, Tianyuan Venue, Care-free Fairy Town, and Seclusion Wilderness. 

“虚实相生·数字赋能”。

当传统遇见未来、当文化遇见数字、当烂柯遇见元宇宙······又将碰撞出怎样的创意火花?这一次我们把目光投向中国衢州·世界围棋文化园,通过发起【烂柯元梦纪—棋星阁建筑设计元空间大赛】,诚邀社会各界人士一同共创“围棋圣地·烂柯仙境”与“元宇宙”之间的“棋妙”世界。

When tradition meets the future, when culture meets digits, when Lankemeets the metaverse... what sparks of creativity will be generated? This time, we set our sights on the World Go Culture Park in Quzhou, China. We launched the [Lanke Dream Era: Qixing Pavilion Meta Space Architectural Design Competition], and sincerely invite people from all walks of life to create a "chess wonderland" between "Holy Land of Go, Lanke Wonderland" and "Metaverse".

▌Overview of the project

棋星阁选址于烂柯山风景名胜区的最高峰、制高点,海拔164米,在整体风景规划的大格局中,是烂柯山核心景区重要的景点。棋星阁南侧是烂柯山脚下是世界围棋公园,济源溪与乌引渠,再远处则是仙霞余脉与潺潺衢江。它不仅是烂柯山上“王质遇仙山径”的重要一点,也是烂柯山的重要灯塔,与城市遥遥呼应。

Qixing Pavilion is located at the highest peak and commanding height of Lanke Mountain Scenic Area, with an altitude of 164 meters. In the overall landscape planning, it is an important scenic spot in the core scenic area of Lanke Mountain.At the foot of Lanke Mountain on the south side of Qixing Pavilion are World Go Park, Jiyuan River and Wuyin Canal, and in the distance are the remaining veins of Xianxia and Qujiang River. It is not only an important node of "Mountain Path where Wang Zhi Met Fairies" on Lanke Mountain, but also an important lighthouse of Lanke Mountain, echoing the city from afar.

通过开展棋星阁在"真实空间"与"虚拟空间"的建筑设计,以此探讨建筑空间在虚实之间赋能共生的创新模式。

*注:“元空间”即基于真实空间,在虚拟空间(H5端、PC端)搭建的可沉浸、可漫游、可交互的超级数字场景。

Wu Zhiqiang: Virtual-real theory of Academician space

Our objectives areto create the Hall of Honor that the world's top Go players yearn for all their lives through design; to create the pilgrimage pavilion that the world's Go enthusiasts yearn for through creativity; and to create a spiritual pavilion in the world holy land of Go and the Lanke Wonderland through culture. Through the architectural design of the "real space" and "virtual space" of Qixing Pavilion, our goal is to explore the innovative mode of symbiosis between the virtual and the real in the architectural space.

Note: "Metaspace" refers to the immersive, roaming, and interactive super digital scene built in virtual space (H5 terminal, PC terminal) based on the real space.

▌Design tasks

棋星阁依托名山构建名阁,作为顶级棋手围棋决胜的终极对战场所(类似于日本棋院的幽玄之间),也配以围棋历史文化的展示场所(围棋名家、名战、名谱展示)和少许商业空间。参赛选手需重点关注棋星阁在真实空间(建筑空间)中的空间设计,并基于此探讨棋星阁在虚拟空间(元空间)中的创意呈现。

Qixing Pavilion is a famous pavilion built on a famous mountain. It will be the ultimate battle place for top Go players (similar to the Yugen Room of the Japanese Chess House), and it also contains aspace for the display of the history and culture of Go (displays of Go masters, famous battles, and famous records) and a little commercial space. Participants of the competition should focus on the space design of Qixing Pavilion in the real space (architectural space), and on this basis, discuss the creative presentation of Qixing Pavilion in the virtual space (meta space).

分值占比70%)

1.棋星阁在最高峰处的选址范围可根据创意需求适当灵活调整,但不宜偏离太多。建筑面积规模约300平方米,主建筑高度控制24米左右,参赛者可根据建筑功能和形象表达适当浮动调整。
2.设计深度为概念方案深度,参赛人员需重点关注棋星阁的空间体验、造型创意的策划与设计。棋星阁物理空间作为未来要建成实施的建筑设计项目,参赛人员在充分发挥创造力的同时需考虑设计的落地性和可实施性,设计风格自定。
3.棋星阁主要功能房间:
  • 核心用房:对弈室(附属贵宾室、休息室、研究室等)
  • 体验用房:公共空间及体验空间
  • 交互用房:网络直播室、新闻发布等
  • 展示用房:展览展示空间、围棋名人堂、文化展览、文创零售等
  • 办公用房及设备用房
  • 其它空间及用房(根据设计创意自定)

▌Real Space: Architectural Space Design of Qixing Pavilion

accounting for 70% of the score)

1. The location of Qixing Pavilion on the highest peak can be adjusted flexibly according to the designer's creative needs, but it should not deviate too much from the original location. The building area is about 300 square meters, and the height of the main building is controlled at about 24 meters. Participants can adjust the above parameters appropriately according to the needs of building functions and image expression.

2. The design depth is a conceptual proposal, and the participants need to focus on the space experience of Qixing Pavilion, the planning and design of the creative modeling. The physical space of the Qixing Pavilion is an architectural design project to be constructed in the future. Therefore, the participants should consider the feasibility and practicability of the design while giving full play to their creativity. The design style shall be determined by the participants themselves.

3.The main functional rooms of Qixing Pavilion:

  • Core rooms: game rooms (with affiliated VIP rooms, rest rooms, research rooms, etc.) 
  • Experience rooms: public space and experience space
  • Interaction rooms: live streaming rooms, press conference space, etc.
  • Display rooms: Exhibition space, Hall of Fame, cultural exhibition space, cultural and creative retail space, etc.
  • Offices and equipment rooms
  • Other spaces and rooms (to be determined according to the idea of design)

1.参赛人员需要根据棋星阁真实空间的造型与IP特色,从“主题性”、“沉浸式”、“交互性”三个维度完成棋星阁元宇宙建筑的创意策划。
2.参赛人员需充分考虑棋星阁元空间在漫游视角下的沉浸感与叙事性,并考虑展览空间中布置的音频、视频、艺术品等的数字内容。且内部空间的场景不少于5个室内场景的设计、制作。
3.参赛者人员可适当考虑棋星阁元宇宙在H5端、PC端、VR端中运营的故事性、商业性、生态性。

▌Virtual space: Creative Planning of the Meta Space of Qixing Pavilion

1. Competitors need to complete the creative planning of Qixing Pavilion Metaverse Architecture in three dimensions: "thematic", "immersive" and "interactive" according to the shape and IP characteristics of the real space of Qixing Pavilion.

2. Competitors need to fully consider the immersion and narrative of Qixing Pavilion Meta Space from a roaming perspective, and consider the digital content of audio, video, artwork, etc. arranged in the exhibition space. No less than 5 interior scenes should be designed and produced in terms of interior space scenes.

3. Contestants can properly consider the story, business and ecology characteristics of the operation of Qixing Pavilion Metaverse in H5, PC and VR terminals.

本次大赛主要面向国内外院校建筑学等设计类学科的学生、社会中独立设计师,及有相关设计经验的参赛单位(独立法人、个人)。每组作品参赛团队人员控制在1-4人。

This competition is mainly for students majoring in architecture and other design disciplines in domestic and foreign institutions, studios, independent designers in the society, and competitors (independent legal persons, individuals) with relevant design experience. The number of members of the participating team for each proposal should be limited to 1-4 people.

1.方案文本:
格式要求:PDF格式,文件大小不超过50M,方案文本需要表达清楚建筑物理空间与元空间的方案设计。
物理空间部分:概念说明、效果图、分析图、一套能清晰表达设计意图的方案阶段图纸(总平面图、各层平面图、立面图、剖面图、表达设计意图的局部大样图等)
元空间设计部分:能表达棋圣阁元空间外型、室内空间、景观界面的场景策划与设计,以及对未来运营阶段的策划设计。
2.A1展板
格式要求:JPG格式,3张高清可打印竖向A1展板,图像大小应达到300dpi印刷分辨率标准保留。展板排版风格不限,鼓励采用创新新颖的方式来表达设计意图和创意理念。
3.视频文件:

格式:MP4,分辨率1080*1920p,时长2-3min,文件大小不超过500M,视频需表达作品设计的创作理念与方案成果。

Proposal book + A1 display board + video file
1. Proposal book
Format requirements: PDF format, the file size should not exceed 50M. The proposal book needs to clearly express the proposal design of the physical space and meta-space of the building. 
The physical space:
Concept notes, renderings, analysis diagrams, a set of drawings that clearly express the design intent (master plan, floor plans, elevations, sections, detail drawings expressing design intents)
The meta space: 

the scene planning and design of the meta-space appearance, interior space and landscape interface of the Qisheng Pavilion, as well as the planning and design for the future operation stage.

2. A1 display board

Format requirements: JPG format, 3 high-definition printable vertical A1 display boards, and the image size should reach the standard of 300dpi printing resolution. The typography style of the display board is not limited, and innovative and novel ways to express design intents and creative ideas are encouraged.

3. Video file
Format: MP4, the resolution shall be 1080*1920p, the length shall be 2-3min, and the file size shall not exceed 500M. The video needs to express the creative concept and proposal results of the design.

1.方案文本、A1展板源文件(PPT、ID、AI、PS等文件)

2.设计方案模型:

建筑设计模型:SU/Rhino/3dmax

元空间设计模型:fbx格式完整模型(若有能力可提交Unity压缩包)

1)景观与建筑外形场景总面数需要小于100万面;
2)贴图分辨率不超过2048;
3)楼梯的坡度需要<30度,台阶高度单阶<10cm。

2. Model of the design scheme

1) The total number of surfaces of landscape and architectural shape scenes needs to be less than 1 million;

2) The texture resolution should not exceed 2048;

3) The slope of the stairs needs to be < 30 degrees, and the height of the steps should be < 10cm per step.

1. Entrants should complete the design tasks and submit complete works as required. Any work with missing items will be considered invalid.

2. Entrants should ensure that the submitted works are original and have not been published on other platforms. If it is confirmed that there is plagiarism, the qualification of the entrant will be deprived.

3. The copyright of the award winning works shall be jointly owned by the designers and the organizer of the competition; the copyright of the works that fail to be selected as the finalist shall be owned by the designers.

4. The topographical drawings included in the entry materials are only for the use of the entrants in their creation and shall not be used for other purposes, otherwise the consequences will be at their own risk.

5. The organizer of the competition shall have the final right to interpret the rules of the competition.

6. The competition information of GO UNIVERSE LANKE  - [Qixing Pavilion] Meta Space Architecture Design Competition is subject to the 9.2022 professional version. We apologize for any interference caused by other versions.
