The Library is built with natural materials - bamboo & clay. It has a concentric design with a central oculus, a sunken pod featuring a skylight. The central pod is surrounded in concentric circles by built-in small working tables and then by a bamboo archway that houses the main book shelf section. These bookshelves are radially oriented with various kinds of study spaces in between. The sunken pod with its cathedral-like feeling is also popular for group discussions and readings.

Ralyn's Residence in Bangkok is a 200-square-meter home inspired by traditional Thai architecture, seamlessly blending cultural heritage with modern materials and techniques. Elevated functional rooms and a double-skin cement façade with shark grills reflect Thai stilt houses, while round concrete columns evoke traditional wooden structures. “The Waste Management Building” creatively organizes waste management areas for easy access. The sections’ dimensions match the tools and equipment sizes. The building’s color scheme—red, yellow, blue—reflects universal waste categories, making the architecture easy to understand and less traditional. It utilizes excess energy for drying bins and includes a ventilation and odor control system, ensuring minimal impact on the surroundings, making it friendly to neighbors and passersby.

Monow House has a symbiotic relationship with the owner’s parents’ house next door. With a communal courtyard as a center of composition, both houses share various functions. The site is long and narrow, so the planning of massing and openings is crucial to ensure maximum natural light and ventilation without compromising on privacy. The exterior wall of the 3rd floor, being most exposed to the elements, is cladded with hollow-core triangular shaped ceramic tiles which act as a thermal barrier.

The Roof House, a three-level residence on a 189-square-wah plot, balances functionality and warmth for a family of four and their pet. It features a single-slope roof creating a single-story illusion. A central courtyard with double-height space fosters openness, while private bedrooms are at the back. The design allows family members on the upper floors to overlook the activities below, maintaining a connection while enjoying the tranquility of their private retreats under a single roof.

Harudot: Where nature brews a new beginning. Here, "Haru" whispers fresh beginnings, while "Dot" marks the start of something special. The gables are pulled apart to allow for trees to grow through the building. Inside, curving Barrisol ceilings echo the natural rhythms, blurring the lines between inside and out. The exterior is clad in blackened wood to exude simplicity while the interior radiates an unforeseen contrast through dynamic curves and a warm tone wood finishing.

Lanna Rice Research Center acts not only as research hub but multipurpose spaces as well to support various users from researchers, farmer to students. Functional rooms were arranged in a row to get natural light and ventilation, while bamboo blinds help to filter the heat. Local materials, concrete block walls, polished concrete floors and concrete roof tiles were used for low maintenance. Rice Block was used as wall materials which can display rice seed developed by the center simultaneously.

The project's goal is to renovate an old hotel, which has struggled due to COVID-19 and declining sale prices. The remaining budget is allocated to make the hotel more appealing. We propose revitalizing community spirit to differentiate it from others in Chiang Mai. The unit and GFA area won't increase to avoid acquiring new permits, focusing instead on improving spatial quality.

The owner plans to develop land in their hometown for income and to raise local awareness of its value. A monthly rental dormitory is planned first, as the town's quiet nature and few tourists make hotels seem unprofitable. We found that the town, one of Thailand's oldest, has little documented history due to deteriorated evidence. Our hotel design highlights the community's effort to value remaining historical traces instead of seeking lost artifacts.

His compassion pushed us to highlight this humanity in the father’s ultimate resting place with utmost thoughtfulness and sensitivity. With the primary approach of creating a space akin to a home, the design diverges from the ostentatious norms of honoring the dead by monumental structures. Through movements and tactility, the design uses architecture to manifest one’s journey to the afterlife.

Rhythmic LANE seeks inspiration from the romantic linkage between sound and architecture in an abandoned village school. The collective memory centres around the rhythm of the school bell hit manually on a metal gas tank on a tree. This sound which marks the schedule of classes and recesses is deeply imprinted in the local community’s heart. It is a shared memory across generations of four local villages and the fisherman community. The installation is an alchemy of a bench and a xylophone.

Our project redefines public restrooms at Tsubasa Park, transforming them into open, relaxing, and enjoyable spaces. Visitors can enjoy views of Tokyo International Airport from benches and observation platforms under extended eaves. The design seamlessly blends traditional and modern elements, using sustainable materials like Japanese cypress and Yakisugi (burnt cedar) for durability and aesthetics. Gender-neutral signage with non-traditional colors further promotes inclusivity.

MemutAR is a design research exhibition project featuring an elegant bamboo pavilion, nested next to a beautiful lake in Hsinchu, Taiwan. It represents a milestone in the integration of latest cutting-edge technology into sustainable architecture that utilises natural materials and traditional local crafts. MemutAR was prefabricated by Balinese artisans and re-assembled by local Taiwanese contractors using Augmented Reality (AR) technology, showing the design potential of novel bamboo artistry.
